It doesn’t matter if you’re a well known off-site construction consultant or just getting started, finding clients willing to talk with you is not easy.

Consultants offer advice and expertise to established off-site construction companies to help them improve their business performance in terms of operations, profitability, management, structure and strategy. They are usually the first “go to” people when a new off-site factory or project begins its initial planning.Consultants can help their client with due diligence.

Back in the good old days of off-site construction, just about everyone knew someone who knew a guy that had a friend that was a consultant. Business was done with a handshake and written contracts were usually less than the front side of a letterhead.

Today, off-site construction is booming, new factories are either opening or being planned every day and the number of consultants in our industry has skyrocketed. At last count there are more than 1.5 million construction consultants on LinkedIn.

So how do clients find consultants in today’s marketplace?

As a consultant, you are told to network, especially if you’re landing your first clients. The good news is that it works. The bad news is there are no conferences, conventions or seminars happening these days except on-line. How are you supposed to network with people while on a Zoom conference?

If you decide to build a website, it could take years before your site has attracted the attention of Google search engines. Do you honestly have a year to sit by the computer checking your email every day or that one in a million request for a meeting with a client?

Over the course of 14 years of writing my blogs, I’ve built quite a following including over 13,000 construction industry professionals from around the world.

Every single week my blogs get more than 35,000 pageviews.

And over that course of time I’ve been asked by people seeking consultants, “Do you know anybody that can help me with this problem?” And over those years I’ve recommended quite a few and those clients keep coming back to me asking my help finding another consultant or two.

For that reason I decided what the off-site construction industry needs is a “dating service” for clients seeking consultants.

That is why I am about to launch ModcoachConnects

Consultants will have a forum to tell potential clients what areas of expertise they specialize in and how to be contacted directly with no middle person or someone who knows someone. With over 30 consulting specialties in 12 different types of off-site construction, it will no longer be a huge undertaking for a client to find the right person in a central place, ModcoachConnects

In just a few weeks, I will launch a site where clients can select the consultants they want to learn more about and consultants can talk with potential clients with absolutely no percentage commission to anyone!

The only charge for the consultant is a very low monthly fee.
